"I cannot say enough..."
I cannot say enough about Dr. Soberanes and his staff. I was made to feel comfortable every step of the way. The nurses and anesthetist were wonderful on the day of surgery and set me completely at ease. I am VERY pleased with my experience and would recommend Dr. S. to anyone interested in plastic surgery.
I have been corresponding with Nora and Reba in reference to the procedure and what is expected of me. I must acknowlege that Nora has been exceptional. She has gone way over the top for me on several occassians and I am very greatful. She is the only one I could call at all hours and she is able to answer all my questions and concerns. I will not speak ill of Reba, she was nice but not helpful in the ways that Nora had been. Nora did not treat me like every other patient. I really felt that she was treating me as if I was the only patient; extremely personable and full of knowledge.
I have already recommended you to many people. Like most people, I was a little uncertain about what all was happening when I first came home from surgery. When I got a call from Nora that night, it was incredibly reassuring! I still can't believe Nora takes the time to call patients after surgery! I still have a lot of healing to do and whenever I am not sure what is happening to my new body, I pick up the phone and get answers from the most delightful medical advisor; Nora.
Furthermore, thank you so much for such a positive experience! I never once felt as though I was just a number. All of you are quite professional, yet loving and caring, a rare combination in today's medical environment! I felt as though my heart was as well cared for as my body! Thanks to everyone. Your kindness and caring attitude made this a wonderful experience. I am very happy with my new image.

"I almost gave up..."
"I have lost about 140 pounds due to gastric bypass about three years ago and as I was getting rid of the pounds all my skin was sagging. I felt very sick to look at myself in the mirror, let alone to wear a swimsuit at the gym or any where else for the matter.
I started looking into plastic surgery and found that, here in the Unites States, it was so much money I could not afford to fix my problems that needed to be addressed in regards to all the skin that I had. I could only afford one procedure with the money that I had.
So, I started to talk to people in mexico and found that it was much more affordable and I could get it all done with the money I had. It was scary to think of going outside of the United States, but I had no other choice.
I went to Tijuana for several consultations and found that I really did not like the photos of past patients and that they really did not address that I was a gastric bypass patient and that I was not a size 5. I found that the most that I could see was alot of really young people having tummy tucks done that really did not need them.
I almost gave up until I came across this website for Dr. Soberanes. The women on the other line seemed so informed and experienced with the knowledge about gastric bypass and that made me feel better. All the other doctors had told me to loose 30 pounds more before I could have surgery, but not Dr. Soberanes, he said it is not good to loose any more before surgery. I felt good at the size that I was, weighed about 205 pounds and wore a size 14 before I had surgery. I now wear a size 10, down 30 pounds and feel and look great!
I had surgery on 08-20-2007 and I had all the procedures that I wanted. Breast lift with augmentation, extended tummy tuck and arm lift. I feel great and look great! It has done a great deal for me inside as well as outside.
Dr. Soberanes is very professional, as is his staff. They took such great care of me and if I had to do it all again, I would, and it would be with Dr. Soberanos. He is by far the best of the best in Mexico and I would recommend him to my family and friends.
I hope this will help all of you out there make the right choice of doctors. Some doctors don't tighten your muscles when doing a tummy tuck...that is the difference between Dr. Soberanes and all the rest. When you go to make your choice between a good Doctor and great Doctor, both with experience, you have to know weather they will comply with the same status of the United States and I feel that is of great importance.
Thank you and good luck to all you people that want to make an improvement on what is already beautiful .Feel free to call Nora to ask for my number if you have any questions about your surgery."

"I had no idea my body could look like this ever again!
I just started with a personal trainer to give some muscle and tone to what the Doctor began.
The good news is that this time I don't have to battle the fat.
I have a waistline! I have thin arms! I have a space between my thighs!!!! I can't believe it.
The symmetry and balance he gave to his work is also very impressive. I have heard, (and seen pictures) of women who's Doctors did 'lipo' unevenly. Scary! But the Doctor sculpted my body like an artist.
I probably sound too enthusiastic, but I can't help it. I just have so much hope for my formerly hopeless figure. I can't tell you how encouraging that is!
I was also impressed with the offices and surgery room. They were clean modern, sparkling! The nurses that cared for me afterwards were so sweet. They never made me feel I was anything but special. They were very patient with me and attentive....and gentle. 'Lipo' can be pretty painful (like black and blue painful, not like invasive surgery painful) - and I am pushing 60, so I was pretty 'delicate' after the surgery. No problem for the staff! They were even humorous at times. Sweet as can be!
I will be returning for other 'work' soon!
I found my plastic surgeon, but never dreamed he'd be in Mexico!"

"I tried so hard to lose that extra baby fat, or should I call it a 'pouch' around my hips and abdominal area. I had been exercising for 1 1/2 years and lost weight on my arms and legs and they began to look more muscular. And I could feel my abs tightening, but the only thing is, I just couldn't see it, because of my flab covering it all the way around.
I'm 29 and I want to enjoy my body by looking good. I didn't want to wait until I was in my 40's or 50's to get a tummy tuck done and I also knew that I was the perfect candidate for the procedure since I had my tubes tied after my second child so there is no way I will be getting that pouch back.
First, I went to Houston after having a phone consultation with a plastic surgeon's office and they gave me a quote of $4,500 for an extended tummy tuck and I was happy it was the same price as going to Mexico. But when I went to Houston, I had to wait for at least 2 hours for a free consultation and then I learned that the price was now $8,000.00 plus other charges to be added on: e.g. anesthesia, spending a night after the surgery, etc, etc., so in total, with all the hidden charges, I was looking at a big surprise of at least $15,000.00 dollars.
So that's when I was getting very serious about getting an extended tummy tuck, but I didn't want to pay that much for my surgery. So I started to look on the web for different sites and that is when I met Nora Rogers, a very experience and helpful nurse that had all my answers to my questions. But still the thought of going by myself to Mexico was nerve-racking, but if you think about it, it just doesn't matter where you go...its the same...the crime level is everywhere. If anything is going to happen it can happen even in your own home with the doors locked.
After talking to Nora I booked my flight and made reservations at a top 5-star hotel for a very good price. My flight was early in the morning and as soon as I arrived, I was picked up from the airport. As soon as I got to the clinic, they drew my blood, I got an EKG done and the results came back within an hour. The Doctor came for a consultation, the anesthesiologist came to explain her part, and soon I was already walking to my surgery to get my tummy tuck done. The surgery was a major success. After waking up, the nurse knew I was by myself, so she spent the night just by my bedside and being there for me, and helping me. I don't think I would of gotten the care and love in the States that I did in Mexico. Everybody was caring and loving and I would like to say thank you to all of the staff. Even though I was staying at a hotel the next day after my surgery, the clinic called to see how I was doing and they picked me up and bought me back so I didn't have to worry about transportation at all. Even the hotel had room service so I didn't even have to go anywhere. The food was excellent there too.
And guess what - The Doctor even gave me a special gift which I am just noticing...he used this special technique that you have to ask Nora about that will solve your problem for life and you will never have to diet as long as you live. I can enjoy the new figure he has given me without worrying about my flab coming back!
I think it was worth the trip. It cost me about $5,000.00 - that's including the surgery, anesthesiologists, medicine, girdle, one night's stay at the clinic, rides from the airport coming and going, visits to the clinic and also including flight, hotel (5-star) and food. And on top of that, a caring staff and a loving Doctor. I don't think you would be able to beat this price anywhere, so if you are thinking about getting any kind of cosmetic surgery done, I would go with Dr Sergio Soberanes and use the Patient Facilitator services of Plasticsurgeons-Mexico.com...
Nora was so much help."
